BookBub is a reader recommendation service best known for its paid discount promotions, but it also maintains author profiles that readers can follow, and claiming yours is free. The profile is separate from any paid promotion; you do not have to buy anything to have one.
To claim it, create a BookBub Partners account, complete the identity verification, and then edit the profile: add a photo, a bio, and confirm the book data. BookBub notes that readers are more likely to follow profiles that have a photo, a bio, up-to-date book information, and a set of recommendations from the author.
The process is the same for traditionally published, hybrid, and self-published authors. Book data comes from retailer feeds, so a missing or incorrect listing usually has to be fixed at the source (the publisher or your publishing platform) rather than on BookBub itself.
