Edelweiss+ is the online catalog that publisher sales teams use to show forthcoming books to bookstore and library buyers, and it can also carry a digital review copy those buyers read before publication. It puts your book in front of buyers where they already order, and some review journals accept an Edelweiss+ copy as part of a submission. Your publisher normally handles this; ask which seasonal catalog your book is in and to see the listing. A self-published book appears only through a distributor with an account.

Edelweiss+ is the digital catalog and review-copy platform run by Above the Treeline. Publisher sales teams use it to present seasonal catalogs to bookstore and library buyers, and its digital review copy (DRC) function lets those buyers, plus reviewers and media, read a title before publication in a web-based reader.
A publisher uploads the DRC, chooses whether it is public, private, or approval-only, and can auto-approve trusted groups such as booksellers or librarians. Readers share their reviews back to the publisher and into industry programs such as Indie Next and LibraryReads. The platform reports more than 30,000 bookseller users (including staff at Barnes & Noble and American Booksellers Association member stores), more than 23,000 librarians, 10,000 academics, and 7,000 media and agency professionals.
Pricing effective February 1, 2025: a $200 annual subscription plus $90 per title uploaded, with audio review copies included at no extra charge and discounted bundles available on request. The page addresses publishers; it does not say whether individual self-published authors can open an account.
Why it may matter
Edelweiss+ is where bookstore buyers and many library selectors already live, because it is the catalog they order from. A DRC there reaches them in their own workflow, and Kirkus and other journals accept an Edelweiss+ widget as part of a submission. It distributes the copy; it does not produce a review or an order.
Do not confuse this with
Edelweiss+ is a distribution and catalog platform, not a review outlet, and it does not sell reviews. Reviews written by Edelweiss+ users are reader and professional feedback, not trade reviews. It is also separate from NetGalley; the two overlap in audience, and many publishers use both.
