Every step on this site can be handled on your own. If you'd rather hand off the record checks, correction requests, and setup work, we can take on individual tasks or work through an agreed bundle with you. We never need your passwords, and outside platforms still make their own decisions.

Identifier and listing mistakes are usually quiet. A library may file your name inconsistently, a retailer may attach the wrong subtitle, or two books with the same title may be confused. I found all three kinds of problems while checking my own book. This is the work I wish I could have handed to someone who knew where to look. We check the source records, document what we find, and make or request the corrections the platform allows.

What is in it

  • Wikidata

    An item for you and an item for the book, linked to each other, carrying the identifiers we can verify. This is what Google and the library world read.

  • Open Library

    A record for the book and each edition we can document, plus your author record, on the Internet Archive's catalog.

  • ISNI (International Standard Name Identifier)

    A search for a number you may already have. If there is none, the request filed with your details, and the number recorded when it arrives.

  • Library of Congress and VIAF (the Virtual International Authority File)

    A check of how libraries have filed your name and the book, and a note on what to ask for if it is wrong. The fix itself is the library's to make, and we say so.

  • Goodreads book data

    Corrections sent through the librarian request for whatever Goodreads got wrong: title, subtitle, edition, cover, page count.

  • Bios, pages, media kit, identity sheet

    Your bio in three lengths, your author page, your book page, the media kit, and the canonical book identity sheet, all built from what you send us and ready to copy anywhere.

  • Awards calendar and review plan

    Which competitions and review outlets fit this book, with their deadlines and fees, set up as items in your checklist so nothing sneaks past.

  • A 20-minute screen share

    For the accounts only you can hold: Amazon Author Central, the Goodreads author claim, BookBub, and your social profiles. You type, we point.

How it works

  1. Buy the package

    $250 for one book, once. Your Author Profile is free, and the book credit is included, so there is nothing else to buy; the book is where the work is recorded.

  2. We email you a short list

    Within one business day: cover, ISBNs, a description, your bio and headshot, and any identifiers you already have. Reply with what you have. Missing pieces are fine; we ask.

  3. We do the records and the pages

    Most of it is done within two weeks of your materials arriving. ISNI and the Library of Congress work on their own clocks, and the item in your checklist says what it is waiting on.

  4. Twenty minutes together

    We book a screen share for the accounts that need you signed in. You type the passwords and the one-time codes. We tell you where to click.

  5. You get the record of it

    Every item marked done, linked, and dated in your Author Profile, plus a note of anything still pending. It stays there; nothing lives in our inbox.

What we do
Everything listed under What is in it: the record work on Wikidata, Open Library, the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI), the Library of Congress and VIAF checks, the Goodreads corrections, your pages, media kit, and identity sheet, and an awards and review plan, plus a 20-minute screen share for the accounts only you can hold.
What we need from you
Your cover, identifiers, a description, your bio and headshot, any identifiers you already hold, written permission to make edits on your behalf, and twenty minutes of your time on a call.
What you receive
Every record we created or requested, linked and dated in your Author Profile, your published author page, book page, media kit, and identity sheet, and a plain list of anything still waiting on someone outside.
What the outside platform controls
Wikidata, Open Library, the ISNI agency, the Library of Congress, VIAF, and Goodreads each decide what they accept, how long they take, and whether an entry stays. We do the asking correctly and document it; none of them answers to us.
Typical timing
Most of it lands within two weeks of your materials arriving. ISNI and the Library of Congress work on their own clocks, and the item in your checklist says what it is waiting on.
Outside fees
None are included in the price, and none of the steps in the bundle normally charges one. If a platform introduces a fee, we tell you the amount before paying anything and you decide.
What counts as complete
Every included step is either done and recorded in your Author Profile, or submitted and recorded as waiting on a named outside party. A platform's decision to refuse, revert, or delay is reported to you, not absorbed into the price.

  • Wikidata: you and your book

    $99

    An item for you and an item for the book, linked to each other, with the identifiers we can verify.

    We create or fix your Wikidata item and the book's, link them, and add every identifier we can source: International Standard Book Number (ISBN), International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI), Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN), OCLC number, official website. Existing items are corrected rather than duplicated.

    What we do
    We search Wikidata for an item for you and one for the book, correct what is already there rather than creating a duplicate, add the identifiers we can source with a reference for each, and link the two items to each other.
    What we need from you
    Your name as you publish under it, the book's identifiers, your website, and written permission to edit on your behalf under our own named editor account.
    What you receive
    The item addresses, a list of every statement we added with its reference, and the same list recorded in your Author Profile.
    What the outside platform controls
    Wikidata is an open community project. Volunteer editors decide what is notable enough to keep, and any statement or item can be changed, merged, or deleted by someone else afterwards. We cannot promise an item will be created or will stay.
    Typical timing
    Usually within two weeks of your materials arriving. A community discussion about notability can take longer, and we tell you when one opens.
    Outside fees
    None. Wikidata is free to edit.
    What counts as complete
    The edits are submitted and recorded in your Author Profile with their addresses and dates, and we have told you what each one says. If the community reverts or deletes something, we tell you what happened and what your options are, but we do not guarantee reinstatement.

  • ISNI search and request

    $49

    A search for the author number you may already have, and the request filed if there is none.

    We search the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) database for an existing record under every form of your name, and if there is none we file the request with your details and record the number in your Author Profile when it arrives. ISNI works on its own clock; the item says what it is waiting on.

    What we do
    We search the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) database under every form of your name, including the library shelf form, and if there is no record we file a request with your details and published works.
    What we need from you
    Your name in every form you have published under, your date of birth if you are willing to give it for disambiguation, and a list of your published works with their identifiers.
    What you receive
    The search result with the records we found, the request reference if we filed one, and the number recorded in your Author Profile when it is issued.
    What the outside platform controls
    The ISNI International Agency decides whether to assign a number, what form of your name it carries, and how long it takes. It can also merge or reassign records later.
    Typical timing
    The search is done within a week. An assignment can take several months, and the item in your checklist says what it is waiting on.
    Outside fees
    None for an author request made this way. If the agency ever charges for the route we use, we tell you the amount before filing and you decide.
    What counts as complete
    The search is documented and, where there was no record, the request is filed and its reference recorded. A number being issued is the agency's decision, not part of what you are buying.

  • Canonical book identity sheet

    The one page with every identifier, title form, and contributor, so every listing is copied from the same source.

    Built from your materials and checked against the records that exist (Library of Congress, Open Library, your retailer pages), then published as the identity sheet on your media kit and kept in your Author Profile.

    What we do
    We build one sheet holding every identifier, every title and subtitle form, the contributors and their roles, the editions and their dates, and the publisher details, then check it against the records that already exist and note where they differ.
    What we need from you
    Your cover, the identifiers you hold, the copyright page, and the contributor names and roles as you want them credited.

    We write the short, medium, and long bios from what you send, set the description and the facts, place the cover and headshot, and publish the media kit page under your author page. You can edit every word afterward.

    We write the JSON-LD for you and the book from the identity sheet, test it with Google's tool, and send you the snippet with instructions for your platform (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or hand-built).

    Written from the identity sheet in the format librarians expect, with the Book Industry Standards and Communications (BISAC) codes and subject headings, the reviews you have, and the ordering routes (wholesaler, OverDrive, direct). A Portable Document Format (PDF) file plus the page on your media kit.

    We check the major listings (Amazon, Goodreads, Google Books, WorldCat, Open Library, Apple, Barnes & Noble) against the identity sheet, log each discrepancy, send the corrections that can be sent, and record the rest in your Author Profile with what to ask for.

    What we do
    We compare the major listings against your identity sheet, log every difference with a link and a screenshot, send the correction requests each platform accepts from us, and write out what to ask for where only you or your publisher can ask.
    What we need from you
    The identity sheet or the book's correct details, and your retailer and catalog addresses if you know them.
    What you receive
    The correction log with every difference, what was requested where, the request references we were given, and the list of asks that are yours or your publisher's to make.
    What the outside platform controls
    Every retailer, catalog, and reader site decides whether to accept a correction, how long it takes, and whether its next data feed overwrites the fix. Some only accept changes from the publisher or distributor of record.
    Typical timing
    The check and the log take about one week. Platform responses take from days to months, and some never come.
    Outside fees
    None from us. If a platform charges for a change, we tell you the amount first and you decide.
    What counts as complete
    The log is delivered and the requests that can be sent have been sent and recorded with their references. Whether a platform accepts a change is its decision, not part of what you are buying.

What we never do

We never ask for, hold, or use your passwords. Amazon and Goodreads forbid shared logins, most of these services send a one-time code to your phone anyway, and you should not hand a password to anyone, including us. That is what the screen share is for.

Straight talk

None of this sells copies, wins awards, or gets reviews. The outside world decides those. What you are buying is the work: the records checked, the corrections made or requested correctly, and the whole thing documented. We cannot promise that an outside platform will create a record, accept a correction, or keep either one, because that is their decision and not ours. Where a platform says no, or reverts something later, we tell you what happened and what your options are.
