LibraryReads is a monthly list of ten adult books chosen by public library staff who read them early. It's a vote, not a review, and a place on the list can lead to library attention, displays, and orders. The book must be available on Edelweiss+ or NetGalley by the program's deadline, so ask the publisher when the digital advance copy will be posted.

LibraryReads is a monthly list of the ten adult titles that public library staff across the United States most enjoyed reading in advance. It is not a review; it is a vote. Library workers read digital galleys, nominate their favorites, and the top ten become the month's list, which libraries use for displays, readers' advisory, and ordering.
To be eligible, a book must be for the adult market and must be available as an advance copy on Edelweiss+ or NetGalley at least two months before publication. Public library staff registered on either platform nominate. Voting closes on the first of the month before the publication month: a June book must collect its nominations by May 1.
There is no fee and no formal submission. The publisher's job is to get the galley onto one of the two platforms early, make it easy for library staff to access, and let them know it exists. LibraryReads sells Publisher Partner packages, but the site is explicit that non-partner books can be, and are, chosen.
Why it may matter
Library staff use the list as a peer recommendation, so a selection can put a book in front of more selectors and readers' advisory staff. Nothing an author or publisher does guarantees a place. The votes belong to library workers.
Do not confuse this with
LibraryReads is not a review outlet and has no paid review track. Its Publisher Partner program buys visibility for a publisher's galleys with library staff; it does not buy votes, and non-partner titles make the list. Do not describe a LibraryReads pick as a trade review.
