Axiom Business Book Awards

Jenkins Group

In short

The Axiom Business Book Awards are a paid contest for business books, run by Jenkins Group, which also runs the Independent Publisher Book Awards and the Living Now Book Awards. The medals turn up where business books sell outside bookstores, on speaking sheets and corporate pitches, rather than with trade reviewers or general booksellers. Authors and publishers may enter with one copy per category and a fee that rises as each deadline passes. If you publish with a trade house, ask your publisher first.

Every label is a fact from the official rules, never a judgment about whether the award is worth entering. How we describe awards.

The Axiom Business Book Awards, run by Jenkins Group alongside the Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY) and the Living Now Book Awards, recognize business titles from independent and traditional publishers. Categories cover the usual business shelf: leadership, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, personal finance, economics, careers, sales, business memoir, and more.

The 2027 awards accept English-language print books, ebooks, audiobooks, and galleys with 2025, 2026, or 2027 copyrights from authors, illustrators, publishers, and self-publishers worldwide. No ISBN is required. One copy per category is needed, as a physical book, a PDF upload, or audiobook gift codes.

Fees rise across three deadlines: August 12, 2026 ($79, now passed), September 16, 2026 ($89), and the January 28, 2027 final deadline ($99). Medalists are announced March 18, 2027.

Why it may matter

Axiom is the business-specific program that speakers, consultants, and business authors tend to cite, and the medal is useful in the places where business books are sold outside bookstores: speaking one-sheets, corporate bulk-sale pitches, and professional profiles. It is not widely followed by trade review outlets or general booksellers. A business book that also fits a general independent program can enter both, since the mechanics are identical.

Worth knowing

Our reading, not a rule the organization published. We judge an award on the rubric in how we describe awards.

The first early-bird deadline (August 12, 2026) has already passed; the second, September 16, 2026, is days away as of this record. The use of artificial intelligence tools is discouraged and may factor into judging.

Rules and deadlines change. We last checked this information on September 13, 2026. If you see something that needs updating, please tell us.
